License and Terms of Use

EBAS is free to use for the general public. EBAS Core programs (commandline utilities and tools for database operation) are only accessible for the responsible staff at NILU. External users have access to the database through the web application and associated web services.

The data in the database are owned by their respective providers (measurement networks and individual organizations). The data access rules are governed by the data providers, see ebas.nilu.no for details.

The source code of EBAS is generally closed. We released parts of the program code useful for data users or data submitters (file input/output libraries).
