Station Contact Person(s) Observation Data and Quick Plot

Observation
Category : Air sampling observation
Situation : ongoing
Time zone : Local time +9

Sampling
Sampling height :
Description : flask
Sampling and analysis frequency : event.
(about once per a month)
Sampling environment :
Description for sampling analysis : Air samples were collected into 24 titanium flasks using manual air sampling pump from Atsugi Air Base to Minamitorishima.

Instrument and Analysis
Measurement method : VURF
Current status and history of instrument : Fast Carbon Monoxide Analyzer AL5002 AERO-LASER GmbH
Description of instrument :

Calibration
Current scale employed in the measurement : WMO CO scale
Measurement calibration : Calibration gases used:(CO2,CH4,CO,N2O)-in-air
Scale and calibration(treasability) : Hierarchy of standards

The laboratory primary standard gases are calibrated by WMO reference standard gases.
The working standard gases in the station are calibrated by the laboratory primary standard gases.

Frequency of calibration and latest calibration

The laboratory primary standard gases are calibrated by WMO reference standard gases at WMO CCL every 3 years.
The latest calibration at CCL was performed in February 2010.
The working standard gases in the station are calibrated by the laboratory primary standard gases before, in, and after use (period of use is about one year).

Calibration history
Calibration date (Calibration standard)
Jan. 2007 at NOAA (NOAA-GMD/WMO 2000 scale)
Feb. 2010 at NOAA (2004 NOAA/WMO scale)

Data Processing
Measurement unit : ppb
Data processing :
Processing for averaging :

Data flag : 0-6: no background condition
7: background condition
9: missing
The flag has a positive or negative value. The concentration with the flag of a negative number is provisional and the selection is the same.
Data remarks :

Other Information
Scientific aim : To provide critical data for reserch and study to reveal long term trends and carbon cycle in the troposphere of western North Pacific.
