Station Contact Person(s) Observation Data and Quick Plot

Observation
Category : Air sampling observation
Situation : ongoing
Time zone : Local time +1

Sampling
Sampling height : 7
Description : continuous
Sampling and analysis frequency : Continuous with a 1-minute time basis.
Sampling environment : Mountain peak with completly free horizon.
No local sources of contamination. No access by road.
Timberline about 300m below the measurement site.
Description for sampling analysis : The air is sampled by a 2m long heated intake at 7 m height above
the ground with a flux of 40 l/s. The air intake is composed by an external (outside building) steel pipe (internally covered by Teflon) and the internal (inside building) Pyrex pipe. A Teflon sampling line (lenght 1.5m) connects the air intake with analysers.

Instrument and Analysis
Measurement method : Chemiluminescence
Current status and history of instrument : Since April 2014, Thermo 42iTLE (s/n: 1321458558)
Description of instrument : Chemiolumiescence instrument with pre-chamber mode for removal of interferent. Detecion limit has been estimated 0.060 ppb after 1-hour of zero air measurements.

Calibration
Current scale employed in the measurement : Certified NO in N2 in cylinders and dynamic dilution with synthetic air is used for calibration.
Station standard by "Messer Italia".
Round Robin in European ACTRIS project with nice agreement in 2014
Measurement calibration : Calibration and zero check is carried out every 48 hours.
Once per year multi point calibration.
Scale and calibration(treasability) : Standard gases:
Since April 2014: NO, 500 ppm, Messer Italia, #
Since Septembner 2014: NO, 500 ppm, Messer Italia, #78036
For multipoint calibration: NO, 500 ppb Messer Italia, #20141323

Data Processing
Measurement unit : ppb
Data processing : Quality assurance procedures involve time series plots, daily checks of internal parameters, zero evaluation, consistency checks with other tracers and meteorological data.
Hourly mean values were calculated if 75% of 1-minute data are available.Data below the detection limit (0.06 ppb on 1-minute) were retained for the averaging processes. Data acquisition system provides 1-minute raw data averge. Invalid data caused by local emissions, malfunction were rejected before averaging.
Daily mean values were calculated if 75% of hourly data are available.
Monthly mean values were calculated if 75% of hourly data were available.
Processing for averaging : Processing for Hourly Data:
Hourly mean values were calculated if 75% of 1-minute data are available.
Data below the detection limit (0.06 ppb on 1-minute) were retained for the averaging processes.
Processing for Daily Data:
Obtained by averaging all available hourly data. Daily mean values were calculated if 75% of hourly data were available.
Processing for Monthly Data:
Obtained by averaging all available daily data. Monthly mean values were calculated if 75% of daily data were available.
Data flag : Only validated data are provided.
Data remarks :

Other Information
