Station Contact Person(s) Observation Data and Quick Plot

Observation
Category : Air sampling observation
Situation : ongoing
Time zone : Local time 1

Sampling
Sampling height :
Description : continuous
Sampling and analysis frequency : Continuous
Sampling environment :
Description for sampling analysis : Chemiluminescence detection of NO, specific transformation of NOy to NO with a gold/CO converter at 300oC. Height of the line is 20 meters above the ground and 2.5m over the top of the measurement station.
Measurement of NO with chemiluminescence (reaction with O3) detection, (LDL " 50 ppt).

Instrument and Analysis
Measurement method : Chemiluminescence
Current status and history of instrument : Chemiluminescence
Description of instrument : ECO Physics AG
Cranox, # 77320

Calibration
Current scale employed in the measurement : EUROTRAC/TOR project
Measurement calibration : Calibration gas: dynamic dilution, NO in air + gas phase titration, reference to NO. Calibrations are carried out every 48 to 72 hours. Precision gas diluter is calibrated according to NIST standard.
Scale and calibration(treasability) : Certified NO concentrations in cylinders are used for calibration, validated by international intercomparisons (e.g. EUROTRAC/TOR project)

Data Processing
Measurement unit : ug/m3-20C
Data processing : All values are quality controlled.
Processing for averaging : Processing for Hourly Data:
The data acquisition system provides one raw value every 2.5 minutes.. Zero/calibration factors and data protocols are used to convert raw data into calibrated data. Invalid data caused by local impact, malfunction or other effects are detected by comparison/ correlation with other trace substances and meteorological data and with information from the station logbook and then are rejected. 30 min mean values are generated by calculating the arithmetic mean of the remaining data with number of data more than 15. For reporting to GAW hourly mean values are calculated from these half hourly data.
Processing for Daily Data:
Daily: Take the arithmetic mean of selected half hourly data with the number of data more than 31.
Processing for Monthly Data:
Monthly: Take the arithmetic mean of selected half hourly data with the number of data more than 960.
Data flag : Hourly
1: valid value
6: missing value due to calibration
9: missing
Data remarks :

Other Information
Scientific aim : To provide data for research to reveal long term trends of air pollution, long distance transport and climate change in Central Europe.
