The Algoma measurement site is located on the Canadian Shield, within the highlands east of Lake Superior in the province of Ontario, approximately 50 km north of Sault Ste Marie and the United States/Canada international border. Algoma is part of the Turkey Lakes Watershed, a hydrologically calibrated basin that was originally devoted to process-oriented research into "acid rain" effects. |
