.. note::

   The Release Notes for V.3.00.06 are written after releasing the version. The
   list of changes is not complete and just marks the highlites.
   
   The list of backports however is complete.

Features
========

* all ebas3\_... programs are now available as ebas\_\... alias. E.g.
  ``ebas3_list_ds`` is now also available as ``ebas_list_ds`` (is actually the
  same program). This is the next step of slowly phasing out the old ebas2
  programs.
  If ebas2 programs (and data from the EBAS2 database) are needed, they are
  still available in /opt/ebas/bin.

* new program :ref:`EBASprogram_ebas_set_project` for changing project
  associations of datasets.

* :ref:`EBASprogram_ebas_delete`: added some safety features (confirmation needed when deleting
  data from more then one instrument (or station).

* changed component name chemiluminesc to chemiluminescence_photometer.
  :ref:`EBASprogram_ebas_insert` will support the old name still as a legacy name and translate the
  instrument name while importing.

* improved unit conversion mechanism during import (currently only factors for
  NOx components available)
