3D methane fields
For the ICOS-Norway project, we prepared global methane fields with FLEXPART CTM that can for instance be used as boundary conditions for regional inversions or as prior information for satellite retrievals. Simulations were constrained with observations through nudging. The model is described and evaluated in this article. We here provide the monthly global 3D methane fields that are available so far from the nudged NV3 simulation for 2013 (see paper ):

We recommend however, to use the monthly fields below, where all observations were included, for applications. We are currently running simulations for years 2005 - 2016, updates will be added.
